Verbal Irony - refers to the use of words intended to give a different meaning from what the person says. It is being used for conversations where one wants to be understood opposite from the literal meaning of the words he or she said. Some examples can be "I am excited about my report tomorrow!", "I do not miss my sister who has been working in another country.", or "I am happy to miss my first class." statements. The last one is the resolution that will depict what will happen to the character by the time he or she already knows that information that the audience is already aware of.

Situational Irony - it occurs between the expected scenario to happen and what really happened. It is the exact opposite of what is really meant to happen.
